William L. Neece
Executive Director, National Partner Relations
Prior to launching Remaking America Now, William was the Vice President of Events for The Community College Foundation, a non-profit, public benefit organization based in Sacramento, California.
During his eight years of service in his role, Mr. Neece oversaw The Foundation’s technology in education programs and events, among other overall Foundation initiatives. Under his direction, The Foundation’s annual TechEd International Conference & Exposition experienced tremendous growth; attracting more than 4000 attendees from around the world. Under his direction TechEd matured to be the largest education technology conference of its kind, offering 300 hands-on computer workshops and interactive sessions over 2-1/2 days, along with an expansive exhibit hall featuring leading technology companies in more than 300 exhibit booth spaces. Prior to his departure he instituted a Green Education focus that continues to grow within TechEd today. It was during the development of the Green Education tracks within TechEd that William came to the realization that he could do much more in the new Green Economy.
Mr. Neece has spent the greater part of his career seeking out
solutions to the ever increasing challenges that face us all. Before joining The Community College Foundation,
William was president of the WLN Group, an event consulting firm
specializing in technology conferences. Prior, he was one of three
founding members of Tech Expo, a private company which went on to
pioneer a national conference combining government, business and
education technology interests in one uniquely comprehensive event.
Purely out of the love of the music, he co-founded the Northern California Blues Festival.
William has overseen and sat on technology related boards and advisory committees. He was also the board Vice President of Vocational Training & Employment, Inc., a Sacramento-based, private non-profit agency committed to aiding adults with developmental disabilities attain independence through job training and placement.
